Called AT&T this morning to get someone to come out to check my dead phone line. He got here at 5:00 and tested the outside line and found it to be working. At that point he could have charged me $55 to diagnose that it was a short somewhere inside with my lines. Instead he was nice and wrote the order up as corrosion on the outside. I switched out a connector I had in my room and my phone line worked fine.
