Our neighbor across the street knocked on our door to let us know water was streaming down our driveway into the street. Turned out to be our next door neighbors who overfilled (on a cold, rainy day) their pool and the runoff poured into our side yard, out under a gate and down our driveway.

I’m sorry that the new year sucked x2. This reminded me of the time when I was about 9, we had an above ground pool in our backyard and our parents constantly chanted “don’t push off the sides, don’t push off the sides”. Well of course we did anyway and I’ll never forget the loud crrrraaacccckkk as one day our pool split all the way down one side, and all the water went rushing directly into the house behind us; their property of course was lower than ours, and it was a straight shot from our backyard to their living room, which conveniently was protected only by a screen door that day.
You can imagine how pleased they were with us when that happened!
