Had my post-birthday family dinner this evening. My mom had made one of my all-time favorites: wienerschnitzel with mashed potatoes and red cabbage. My mom had also made some really good Hungarian strawberry and walnut pastry the day before for dessert. My niece Kimi brought over a large, chocolate Mickey Mouse cake that she baked for me. Presents were strictly forbidden, I was grateful, the food was delicious and fun appeared to be had by all.
UPDATE: Added three more photos.

Yay, you look so happy! I’m sorry your visit with B was so short but I hope you had a great birthday! That cake is awesome and I would love to try your moms wienerschnitzel, it looks delicious. That looks like one for the recipe blog!

Thanks, Lisa! I had a great, even though brief, time at Disneyland. And this dinner was fantastic. My mom always makes great wienerschnitzel. Both Kimi’s cake and my mom’s pastry were exceptionally good as well. I hated cutting into Mickey’s silhouette.
Hey, where are the goofy pictures?!

Fine. I added a goofy picture. But I also then had to add two more pictures to keep the gallery grid nice and even.
