After passing a homeless, guitar-playing Santa on a street corner, I had an intimate get together with some of my oldest friends for a Mary-organized belated birthday lunch at Phil’s BBQ in Point Loma. We even got to watch ourselves in line on Phil’s webcam, courtesy of Rodrigo’s Droid. I tried something new this time, ordering the “El Toro,” a deli sliced, char-grilled tri-tip sandwich. It was fantastically delicious. A carnivore’s delight. Also shared in Lannie’s plate of amazing onion rings. It was good to see my friends again. Should do group things a lot more often. Also love my birthday lasting for a few days. Received some baked delicacies from Lannie and some seasonal chocolate and a gift card from Mary.
