Took a trip to Fry’s Electronics with Mami to pick up a slide/flatbed scanner for her and two external backup drives for myself.

This morning a crew came out to replace some sewer lines down the street.  They blocked our driveway (after warning us) and worked down to the end of the culdesac.

Changed all 18 of my calendars for the final time this year.

Finally got our old and leaky kitchen faucet replaced by the landlord. And we only had to wait over three months for them to do the work themselves.

After waiting two months I finally received my invitation-only welcome for my about.me page and set up my site profile.

Lisa Bettany, blogger and photographer extraordinaire (and a beauty to boot), replied to a message I sent her about seeing her at Disneyland. It’s the little things.

Thank the maker that all the political phone calls, television ads and junk mailers will stop invading my realm after today. At least until the next angry elections come around again to irritate the non-absorbable waste out of me.

Finally got around to changing out my old, dysfunctional bathroom doorknob for a shiny new one that isn’t silver on one side and brass on the other.

Changed all 18 of my calendars to November. Good thing, too, since November started this morning.

Miraculously passed a smog test this morning, thanks to Ozzie temporarily clearing the “Check Engine” light with his ODB II PocketScan.

Experienced my first ever Twitter Fail Whale this morning.

Called AT&T this morning to get someone to come out to check my dead phone line. He got here at 5:00 and tested the outside line and found it to be working. At that point he could have charged me $55 to diagnose that it was a short somewhere inside with my lines. Instead he …
