While going to pick up dinner, Rodrigo and I came across a terrible accident that completely shut down northbound 805.

My first attempt at embedding a video on my blog. Watched this one this morning and was amazed.

Went to the Miramar Landfill Recycling Center to recycle a bunch of empty plastic water bottles. Came back with $8.37.

Got woken up by an earthquake this morning at 3:52. It was first registered as a magnitude 5.4, but later lowered to 5.0.

Stayed up until midnight to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower but it became too cloudy and overcast by the coast. Couldn’t see any sky.

A gravel truck blew out a tire, lost control and flipped over, spilling it’s load onto the I-5 freeway. All lanes were stopped for a while with only one lane eventually reopened for about two hours before the gravel was cleaned up and the truck towed away. Traffic was backed up all the way to Del Mar.

Not sure why this Navy medical helicopter was circling over house, but it do so twice and then flew off heading toward downtown.

City worker Brian came out today to clean up some graffiti off the sidewalk in front of our house.

Created my Google Profile today in anticipation of the release of GoogleMe.

Transferred my pacsworlds.com domain from Godaddy to Hover because of Leo Laporte’s recommendation. Sure had to jump through a lot of hoops to get that done. I feel cleaner now.
