Cats Again – Day Four

Fourth and final full day of cat-sitting for the neighbors. Today the focus was mainly on action shots with a few portraits thrown in. Slowly I’m getting to know what to expect and when with the cats. And slowly they are getting used to me shoving a camera into their personal spaces. But alas, tomorrow …

Cats Again – Day Three

Third day of watching the neighbors’ cats. All eight of them. All black. All large. All skittish. All rights reserved.

Cats Again – Day Two

Second full day of cat-sitting for the neighbors. Not much to share other than it started on a cloudy morning with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV, which I didn’t even watch, and ended with a night version of the morning shot.

Thanksgiving With The Family

Seven ninths of our immediate family plus three kittens assembled for our Thanksgiving meal of turkey (duh), mashed potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce, asparagus, broccoli and yams. Completely forgot to make the gravy and the dressing. At least we can make those later for all the leftover turkey. For dessert we enjoyed cupcakes and both apple …

Cats Again – Day One

First full day of cat-sitting for the neighbors once again. Pretty sunrise, a dead whale on the TV, cats everywhere…the usual stuff.

November Kitten Update

Went over to my brother Ozzie’s house to spend a little time playing with the kittens. Amazing how fast they’ve grown into miniature cats. His normal sized cat, Cody, really wasn’t that interested.

A Birthday, A Wreath, A Movie, Couple Of Dogs, A Meal, A Sunset And A Coffee

Went to visit the Tapias today for Sylvia’s Xty Xth birthday. She was busy creating a couple of amazing wreaths made out of dyed corn husks while we watched her favorite Christmas movie, “Elf.” I watched the movie while petting both Lilo and Stitch’s tummies. Never was reciprocated. After a delicious home-made meal and the …

The Kittens Are Now Cats

Went over to my older brother’s house with my mom for a quick dinner with just the three of us and then stayed for a bit afterwards to play with his ever-growing kittens/cats. Those felines went from sleeping to stretching to pouncing, jumping and scurrying in about a minute.

Hanks For The Memories

My brother sent me an email letting me know that his dog, Hank, had passed away after a very long battle with many health issues. This makes the third canine pet of friends or family to have passed away this year.

Rest Now, Georgia

One of the neighbor dogs that I occasionally would dog-sit passed away today. She was quite mature and not in the best of health, but she was a good, loyal dog and she will be missed.

Dinner With Stephen And Jeri

My mom and I went over to Ozzie’s house for a chicken dinner that Jeri had prepared for us. Ozzie and Kimi showed up a bit later. After dinner I played with the three kittens and then joined the others who were playing a few rounds of Scattergories.

Evening Walk Along Mission Bay

Went on a three mile walk this evening at Rose Starns Park just south of SeaWorld with the four Tapias. It was a beautiful San Diego dusk and getting out into ocean air and the setting sun felt very refreshing. ( w a l k i n g   p i c s )

Kitten Feeding

Helped my niece Kimi feed the three kittens today. She took care of Ron Burgundy and Mr. Blue, and I had Mr. Pink. These kitties are getting so big, so quickly. They look at you, they wrestle, the scratch themselves, all like real cats only much smaller.

Kittens At Four Weeks

Went to my brother’s house for a noon feeding of his three kittens who turned four weeks old today. They are finally getting to where they can see and track movement. Also finally got a shot of their other, other cat, the rarely seen Lily.

Tacos And Cat Poop

Had a family dinner at my brother Ozzie’s house again. Only a hungover Stephen and both New Mexico Csanadis weren’t there. We had bueno el Mexican food-o with fresh vegetables and sliced peaches as side dishes. Of course we had to play with the almost four week-old kitties, one of who stunk up the joint …
