Naturally Historic Visit To A San Diego Museum

After my Zoo visit I walked over to the Natural History Museum and spent a couple of hours there taking pictures and actually learning something. For example, did you know that Sun Chips have 30% less fat than regular chips? I got hungry.

Alone Time With The Animals

Spent a couple of hours at the San Diego Zoo, walking around by myself, listening to to my iPod and taking pictures. Very relaxing. I focused my shots on primates, especially their feet and hands.

Reply-yay-yay

My friend Heather replied to a couple of comments I made about the pictures she posted on Facebook.

A Street Name Desired

While doing a usual search for our family name on Google I came across this street in the city of Szeged, appropriately in Hungary.

Mouse House

Came home from lunch and had this little guy waiting for me by the front door. I think he was waiting for some lunch leftovers. Bummer for him that I didn’t have any. He hopped away. The end.

Rubyesque Melt (Sorry, Lisa)

For lunch today I went to Ruby’s in Mission Valley and had my usual Albacore Melt, but this time with my friend, Lannie. Walked around a bit afterwards and came across a blue puppy and some giant chess pieces. Normal, everyday stuff.

Another, Less Welcome, Native Visitor

Came across this juvenile Western Rattlesnake on our driveway while I was taking out the trash. Beautiful animals, but it does worry me a bit to wonder where the rest of the members of the nest are.

Beautiful Time-Lapse Photography

I absolutely love this kind of time-lapse photography accompanied by soothing music.

Cinemagraphs

Fascinating new form of digital advertising using artistically rendered animated GIFs. Many more great examples can be found at the From Me To You photo blog.

Richer And Wiser

Nothing to write home about today, except for this info graphic video about how the state of the world’s health and wealth have greatly improved over the last couple of hundred years. Brilliantly presented.

Easter Dinner

Had nine people around our table tonight for an almost impromptu Easter dinner. Was only planned since yesterday afternoon. It was nice to have family, friends and one rambunctious little puppy adding much needed energy and frolic to the house. At least temporarily. The peace and quiet that followed was nice, too.

2/3 Of Mammal Sitting Day Three

My half day of animal sitting turned into two thirds. Cats are getting much more comfortable with me.

Day Two Of Mammal-Sitting

Final full day of going back and forth all day from the neighbor’s house to take care of their cats and dogs while their out of town.

Baby Squirrels Own Our Backyard

Watched four baby squirrels, two adults and one teenager running rampant around our backyard, eating birdseed and weeds in the grass. What I suppose must have been the mother sat on the fence for a while watching it all.
